Keys, what should I have?

So I have
1 x key for ignition switch

1 x key that works driver’s door and both fuel cap locks

1 x key that works the boot

2 x keys that dont seem to fit anything

0 x keys that fit the passenger door lock

So a couple of questions?
Should the key that works driver’s door and both fuel cap locks be the same key that should also work the boot and passenger door locks?
and
Is it straight forward to adjust the passenger lock to make the above key(s) work in that one too?

I have a 1976 series 2. There are 3 keys. One opens the driver's door, another opens the boot lid and a third fits the ignition. I can't get at the car at the moment to see what opens the glove box or the passenger door, but I normally use the central locking switch between the seats to open the passenger doors. I may be able to get to the car tomorrow in daylight without wind and rain!

My Series III has 3 keys:

• The ignition key, with a plastic-coated handle, and clearly different to the others;
• the normal door/boot/glove box key; and
• a valet key that opens doors but neither the boot nor the glove box.

The last two keys differ in length and handle - the valet key is shorter, with a concave handle.
