That is a joy to behold! I am debating whether to go for an engine out or tidy up at the moment, Its almost like a dirty little secret, you dont want to open the bonnet because it lets the car down, but when you do people ask "whats so bad" ! I have powder coated and buffed up cam covers air boxes etc but to me its like polishing a turd! Seeing your pics may have made my mind up! I will sleep happier after I am sure Keep up the good work.

Paul, personally taking the engine out was the best thing, I know now that the engine bay is de-rusted, sealed and repainted, even if the colour doesn't quite match, I believe that you would be as happy as I am if you took this approach..
Mike thanks for the thoughts on braking, I'm going to change the pads again and keep my eye out for some bigger brakes and maybe those outboard brakes as well...
