J44 has some good bits. Those that are important still work. It has a good service history. The problem is the parts that have fallen off in between service intervals. Many other cars also have similar issues so buy wisely with as many services working as possible.

Deduct a premium for any car not having had at least one gearbox oil change at a mileage of 50k A gearbox will cost around £2000 to replace so try to haggle some of that into your price negotiations with your vendor. I suppose that is the most expensive bogie you need to be aware of.
