Windscreen Clearing

Postby eugos » Fri Aug 25, 2023 10:48 am

I have an 2002 STR with which I am delighted, I do however have a problem with the windscreen clearing in the autumn/winter having only acquired the vehicle in March 2022 it was an issue last year.
The passenger side clears in a straight line down the screen from the roofline to the dashboard leaving the drivers side misted up.
The car has done 56k now and is in v good condition, I am in the process of just bringing it back up to spec.
Having previously owned an X308 sport, XK8 and x type 3.0 sport, and never having experienced this issue I am at a loss

I suspect the windscreen is at fault, but would appreciate any advice/guidance.

The heated windscreen is split 50:50, so I think drivers side faulty. May be a wiring issue or maybe needs replacing.

Check fuses too, I have a vague idea there are 2, but I may be wrong!

Hi Andy

Your right two fuses and two relays for left and right hand sides I'll check them first, before having to bite the bullet and source a new screen !!!

If fuses are ok just swap the relays and see what happens. They cost peanuts.
