Recommissioning

Next week I’m taking the STR to Swallows Jag specialist for some recommissioning work as it’s been off the road for a few years…
I’ve been advised not to start it and take it on a trailer so they can drain/replace bad fuel etc.
I will have to winch it on to the trailer and I imagine I will have to reconnect the battery in order to engage neutral in the auto box.
The original reason I stopped using it was that the park brake had seized on… I have released the tension by sending 12 volts directly to the motor and have replaced all discs and pads.
I guess it’s ok to remove the park brake module connection otherwise it might seize again preventing me winching it onto the trailer.
In short:
1) do I need to reconnect the battery to engage neutral?
2) if I do reconnect the battery will it be ok to disconnect the park brake module from the brake motor?
Just don’t want to cause any additional damage!
