Is there any adjustment to prevent wiper hitting the A post on my 07 s type

First of all make sure that you have got the right blades fitted ie not to long. If they are the correct length then you could try releasing the arm from the spigot and moving it down a couple of splines and see if that cures the problem. If it doesn't there may be excessive play in the mechanism.
