weston park

Postby hammie » Thu Apr 19, 2012 12:19 am

Hi all, its been a while from me, i must confess to hardly touching my car over the last couple of months, ive be ripping out the whole of our upstairs, walls down etc etc, new bathroom, boiler, rads etc, and 5 rooms to remove woodchip and redecorate etc etc, it seems ive done nothing else for the last five / six weeks, and still a good few weeks to go, only washed the car once and hardly used it, tut tut, still need to change my rad and fit a towbar, maybe at the end of may lol, only ridden one of my bikes once too, with regard to weston park, is the s type forum having its own display as well as a str display? also if you were to enter your car into the pride and joy, would it have to be parked in a different area? and if you bring/enter your car, does it have to be there by a certain time and no move before a certain time?
cheers for now Hammie

Hello Hammie,

I wondered where you were!

Yes, we certainly do have the Forums display taking place with space for three cars to represent the S-type Forum.

In addition Doug (Montana) is co-ordinating a special S-type R display nearby.

All model Forum selected display cars will need to be located by 08.30 with a commitment to remain so until 16.00hrs. This is to comply with H&S issues and to ensure that displays remain intact throughout the show.

The show ground layout is still being planned and obviously the various facets of the show could be spread out somewhat. P&J might perhaps be located away from the Forums area and may be subject to different entry and exit times.

Hope that helps.

Hi Hammie,
Just to confirm, the Pride and Joy sections are separate from standard static display. We have to find room for nearly 70 cars in decade order (16 entries maximum per decade). These must be prebooked, entries on the day can not be taken.
This is purely so we can plan out our many different display area's effectively. You must arrive before 8:30 as Mike says for H&S, and can only leave after a certain time also.
It would be a great shame to not see your car displayed somewhere along the line, you certainly have taken the time and care to make it a head turner.

Hi, mike, have you got your cars for the forum display? or would you like mine on there, if you are already sorted, i may well enter it in the pride and joy, [which it is lol,] i may even come down with the fam and caravan the day before if i manage to get the towbar done.
cheers for now hammie
