Burst pipe

Hi folks,
First post as only joined JEC last weekend.
Sadly currently sitting waiting for Green Flag to come and collect us as we have lost all our coolant

I was initially hopeful that a roadside fix could be carried out but it appears not.

I’m struggling to track down a part number for the offending hose but struggling somewhat- not helped by only having my phone to browse with!

Car is MY 2000 S-Type V6 3.0
The hose that has failed (as best as I can describe it) is a bent hose that runs from what I assume is the top of the water pump to a pipe running into the valley- it’s about inch to inch and a half. It’s not one of the hoses that join into the complex union below the throttle body, it’s behind those.

None of the diagrams I have found so far have helped an so I thought I’d reach out.

Hoping I haven’t killed the engine! :/

Go to SNG Barratt web site when you can, have your VIN handy go to S-Type and select Cooling System hoses etc in the diagrams. You will probably be able to identify the offending pipe/hose. There are lots of different ones.

Hi I had this 'Bent hose' go last summer whilst down near Bedford and topping up the headertank every 10 miles got the car home (140 miles).

The leak seemed quite small and I replaced the water pump then found it was the hose above, it seemed to me that the fan belt had cut into the hose, and another old hose has a similar wear mark. The inlet manifold has to come off to replace it.

I contacted my local Jaguar parts (Marshalls) with a part number AJ8009508, this is for the hose and pump, but they found the correct number just for the hose, all working well now.
