Fuel Filler Cap_Override Release?

My car is currently being serviced and Ive been informed they cant release the fuel filler cap via the interior switch.

Is there an override procedure for release?

Hi Krish,
Open the boot and pull the release cable. On the right just below the hinge . Should be a tag on the cable end that says fuel cap release. This is held in place by a bit of Valcro

It appears a fuse was blown when they performing the filler flap mod at my request. Fuse replaced and all good.

Hi Oldtimer,

Nothing exotic , I gave them a TSB which gave instruction to modify the fuel flap to make it easier to open and close as the effort required to close it was becoming greater each month. All sorted now.

I think they changed the fuse so the manual override you suggested wasn't needed. I'll have a look for it later as it would be quote handy if it ever refused to open.
