New member s type 2.7 with a few problems

Hi i have just brought a secondhand s type 2.7 v6 2007 with 78000 miles and love it but it does have a few problems just what comes with the adge of it one that will need sorting is the fuel gauge some times it works on start up it flickers then dropes down to empty another time its all ok or will read half full when its on quaer the miles countdown works ok so not the end of the world but needs fixing will try the sender terminals etc
do the clocks give up hope not

Hello Richard and welcome to the world!
That sounds like a fuel sender issue from the tank. When I first had my S-Type 2.7 I had a few niggly problems (still have some left!) On looking at some of the issues I had, I bit the bullet and invested in a iCarsoft i930 Automotive Diagnostic Tool.
This IS A MUST for any modern Jaguar owner, and I would not be without it.
I leave it in the car all the time. Our Jaguars have so many little issues that can take an age to sort out, when I bought this, it comes up with the fault code, and once the code is searched (there are loads of links on the forum) it saved me so much time and money, it straight away pointed me in the right direction of what it was.
I know this may not be in any help with the direct issue you have, but if you haven't got one already, treat yourself, or get some one to treat you.
