Diesel Injectors

Are diesel injectors a DIY replacement option,are they cylinder coded and if DIY replacement does a connection to the jaguar Diagnostic system become a requirement. Cost of a new injector is £276 inc VAT and with a 10% discount.
Supplied and Fitted by a Jaguar Dealer it's £546.00 inc VAT. as it is an hour to fit at the most this suggests other work. Dave Hart

I have now spent £2400 on my 2.7 d since August trying to cure a "misfire".Two different garages, Jaguar Main Dealers, have had a go and still cannot diagnose it. Jaguar themselves are involved but no success.
Jaguar have offered to help me buy a replacement car!!!!, what is going on?
Along the way at 87K miles the Cam Belt was noted to be "shredding" so had to be changed, somehow, with no prompting I was given a huge discount on the cost!!!!!!!!!!!. They have changed the oil in the gearbox, air charge diaphragms, 3 injectors and the cam belt although this is probably nothing to do with the misfire it's just a premature failure. Has anyone had an experience like this.
