Chrome grille bars

Hello fellow members,
I discovered a company in Australia http://www.carshine.com.au who were selling chrome grille bars that fitted over the existing set of grille bars to a give a similar look to the original S-Types and Mk 2. Sadly they have stopped selling them and will not renew the order with their supplier due to die damage.

Is anyone aware of a supplier anywhere else or another way of achieving the same effect?

Arden, the well known Jaguar aftermarket parts suppliers list a centre grill strake for E83.

Adamesh are one of Ardens suppliers in the UK. Checking their online catalogue, I cannot see the strake listed but a chat with Geoff Adams at Adamesh might perhaps be productive. Maybe he could order one for you.

David Manners now list a large centre strake similar to the Arden version for early model modern S-types for £75. It will not fit the last model facelift S-types as the grill is of different proportions to the early and pre facelift types.

The strake is bowed out, ie not flat. It would fit an unmodified grill which has smaller strakes which are also bowed. This larger centre strake apes the old classic Mk2 grill visual look and sits over the top of the top edge of the outer grill and over the centre plastic strake on an original grill.

Modified grills to which people have fitted stainless mesh conversions are typically flat. However I have seen some mesh examples fitted which have a bowed profile. Flat mesh can be carefully bent to a bowed section and I suspect that it could assume a profile to fit the Arden or Manners bowed strake XR81067/1*
