Early s type trim

Postby Darrenjoyce » Wed Jan 10, 2018 9:31 pm

I have a 2000 s type sport, I'm looking for the push in square fixings that hold the chrome trims on , at the top of the doors, the are small square holes in the top off the doors. I ordered some, they came but are to small.

Any ideas

Ideally, a Main Dealer should be able to identify the clips for you, Darren.

Perhaps the biggest issue now facing owners of older models is the reducing enthusiasm of Jaguar to keep a stock of the numerous small parts used all over an older car. The support gradually diminishes which can cause owners difficulties. Try the dealers first, and if they can`t supply, grab a part number and then type it into your browser. Someone, somewhere may have them in stock.

It is also worth looking on the fixings rack at Halfords. They hold quite a comprehensive stock of small odds and sods. Also contact Eurojag who advertise in our magazine. They may be able to turn up some used parts. Failing all that, double sided adhesive number plate type tape can frequently get you out of trouble.

Hi pal
Been to jaguar , part not available any more, went to David manners ,no look. Berkshire jag, no look, eurojag no look. Some one before me had them off, and broke the lugs, so glued them on, I had to remove them for spraying, would be nice to put them back as the factory fitted them
