colour coded drivers door mirror cover

Postby sheldon1 » Wed Feb 24, 2016 12:22 am

I am seem to have brushed against something in one of the many country lanes here in devon.

When i got home i noticed the cover covering the electrics on the drivers door mirror was
missing.

Colour code HGF.

Any ideas where I could get a replacement ?

Thanks

Paul

Plenty on e-bay, though you may have to settle for another colour and have it sprayed, search for Mirror Covers and also complete Mirrors, as some of them are cheaper than just the Cover. If you want to try for the HGF colour then contact some of the S/H Jag specialists, though Alpine Green may be hard to get a hold of.

Soon after I bought my X350 I had a minor prang on the A3 below Guildford with a parked car half off the hard shoulder and half in the near side carriageway on a sharp left hand bend. I went passenger door mirror to parked car drivers door mirror and smashed off the mirror cowl on my car. Eurojag to the rescue with a second hand cowl and mirror glass, delivered at very reasonable cost.

OK, the colour was different on the replacement part, so I had to repaint. The process is shown in this thread which you might find useful, Paul. Not too difficult a job to refinish if Eurojag can`t supply the right colour.http://www.jec.org.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?f=280&t=9902
