Hello l. 2007 S Type Mud Flaps, good look or not?
Present 2004 XJ6 Sovereign with all bells and whistles

Here`s my old Paramount V8 the day before it went to its new owner complete with mud flippers. Being significantly lowered, the front flaps could drag on the road, particularly when corning hard on roundabouts. Crrrrrrrrrrrr! As they got knocked around, the clips could get disturbed and any abrasive mud could get between the back of the flaps and the steel wheel arch causing the paint to be fretted off and rust to proliferate. Suggest some silicon sealer be applied when fitting to avoid dirt ingress between the two surfaces if you decide to fit some.
On a lowered car, frankly, they are a nuisance. Probably OK on a standard ride height car though.

A Great bit of kit though for helping to stop water and road dirt getting into the front sill area.

Sold two and a bit years ago. Regret to say sill repairs were looming. Have to say I was much relieved to move to the X350 with an ali body, stronger engine and gearbox, supercharger and more space.
The S-type range did me well for around ten years but it became time for an update and more modern technology.

As you can see from my history, I’ve had a few Jags! All have had mud flaps except the XKR and the F Type. Not because of appearance, but only because I couldn’t get mud flaps to fit them! They do stop a lot of mud, grit and water from the sills and underside. Well worth it!

This is not a reply to the original post, but I am looking to fit mudflaps to front and rear of my 2007 S type and would like any advice regarding sources and makes that others have found fit well and maybe those that need to be avoided!
