Correct Wiper blades

Tried to fit replacement Bosch Wiper blades but found screen washer part would not fit new blade. Can anyone recommend what brand to fit or can you only use Genuine Jaguar blades. The washer part is marked Trico.

It is important when buying complete blades that you carefully select the correct version for your car. ie with washers on the blade units or without.

Aftermarket kit can sometimes prove less than satisfactory. Often one can find an issue of some sort which spoils the purchase experience. ie taking parts back to source and obtain a refund. That is a lot of miserable faffing around.

I replaced complete blade and washer units on my X350R recently. Nothing I saw on the aftermarket supply chain filled me with confidence that an easy, good fit would occur. So I bought genuine parts from a Main Dealer and all went well with no issues encountered. The blades came for around £35 which in the grand scheme of things, didn`t break the bank.

If it was the Bosch Aero ones that you bought, they come with the wash bar fitted, as far as I know you just transfer the Washer Pipe to the new Bar. I fitted these to my Car recently and its the same part number for Cars like mine with Bonnet fitted Washer Jets (pre 2004 facelift) I just removed the Bar from the Wipers.

You may be interested to know that I bought new rubber inserts for my 03 S type a while back - From the Jaguar Dealer - just squeeze the prongs at the end of the blade together and slide the rubber out. Transfer the stainless steel support ribs and slide back in.
