Front Grill Removal s type

Postby sheldon1 » Fri May 06, 2016 11:57 am

Just bought a later s type and wondered how easy it is to remove the old front grill and replace with a sports grill.

Anyone carried this out?

Thanks

Paul

Two Torx bolts on the spider arms to the top edge, and two nuts lover down. Clip fixings around the periphery of the grill allow the two parts of the grill to separate. Cutting away the grill bars with a hack saw blade then allow an insert mesh to be fitted. Click the two halves together again and fit to car. Fit the nuts and bolts again and the job is done. Use an indelible marker pen to disguise where you cut the grill bars away. Allow about an hour to do the job.
