With your hands on the steering wheel at 10 to 2 behind your left hand on the dash there is a small grille, remove this and use a vacuum cleaner to suck out any fluff/dust that may be in there. Be careful as this is a sensor for the cabin temp. Then see how you go.

Hi matey

already done that, having read most of the posts on the problem, also had the bumper off today, and checked wiring, the continuity from the water valve plug, to the plug at the side of the washer bottle, all good, I'm wondering if the climate control panel is a duff one again.

Have you had a look through http://jaguarclimatecontrol.com/diagnose/

The other thing to consider is that perhaps the Module has been replaced before and as advised they have fitted an inline fuse for protection against future failures, normally fitted behind Passenger side fascia end panel.

Thank you for that I will look tonight, and yes it has been replaced before, in the cars service history, which is massive, reading into its history and calling the dealer it came from in 2005.

I would not been surprised is everything on the car has been replaced at some time, being the car has done 254000 miles and has full jaguar service history , up to 252000 miles

And the engine is still singing like a song bird, just a few niggles hear and there

Is it petrol or diesel.
