Front N/S Caliper Replacement

Hey,

I was replacing the front discs/pads at the weekend ('04 2.7d Sport), all going well up until the point where I cracked one of the caliper pistons (they are twin piston on my model) on the n/s. Bit of fluid started leaking out I was so disappointed in myself that I'd done this!
Bought a replacement caliper from Auto Reserve on eBay, my question is.. how easy is it to replace the caliper? I suppose that I'll need to bleed the fluid into the caliper, but will the whole system require bleeding? One thing of note is that at some point in the past, the brake lines have been replaced with Goodridge braided hoses.
I was so annoyed at myself as it was going so well up to this point!

Hi Richard changed one of my front calipers last year. What I did was undo and ease out the fluid pipe then push a small piece of bleeder tubing on to it with a bolt that's a tight fit in the other end and that will stop any fluid running out whilst you change over the caliper. Once that's done re connect the pipe then loosen the bleed nipple till the fluid starts to drip out it doesn't take long. Then you can just bleed that brake as normal by getting someone to work the pedal. In my case I used a pressure bleed kit as I am Billy no mates
