Hi - tricky one!!
I can unlock the boot with the key, but not with the fob or the dashboard button or the button above the number plate.
I have checked fuse 1 (15A) in the boot and it is fine. There is 12V both sides of the fuse as well.
Also I checked that the solenoid plunger can move, and the solenoid tests out as a low ohms reading.
There is no measurable voltage coming to the soleniod, but I can hear a relay clicking somewhere behind the trim in the RHS of the boot.
Any Ideas?
Thanks Rob

Re: Boot Lock Fault - will not open electrically
Locks can seize up and lack of cleanliness, corrosion and maintenance can often cause things to come to a halt, Rob.
It might be worth removing the lock and checking the mechanism generally for full and free movement before going too much further. It is certainly worth separating plug connections for a corrosion check. The other thing to look at is the wiring loom on the hinge lifter. The loom can fatigue due to the opening and closing action of the boot over the years. It takes only one broken or squashed cable to stop things dead.
Others here on this BB will be better versed than I on the electrical/electronic aspects of the boot lock. No doubt one of our guys will be able to shed a little more light on things shortly.
If you do eventually need replacement components, it is well worth considering second hand units to get you going again. Cost should be about one third of the new price. There are loads of good parts available on ebay and through breakers so going that route is always worth investigation.

Re: Boot Lock Fault - will not open electrically
Check the wiring where it follows the boot hinge, as I had to repair damaged wires there.
