I'm having an issue operating the front nearside window (electrics) on my 2007 2.7 Turbo Diesel, whereby the window opens/closes, but does not perform the normal straight up or down operation. It goes down in short bursts and when closed will allow you to open it in small/short movements. When trying to re-program the window electrics, as per my maintenance manual, I can hear the clicks when both open and closed, however the fault still exists after performing the reset. The same fault also occurs when using the key fob to open and close all the windows in one operation.
I recently had the rear nearside black-door pillar replaced and wondered if this fault could be associated with that procedure or maybe just a pure coincidence. I don't think the battery was disconnected at the time as all other electrical functions operate perfectly!!
Anyhow any ideas on what's causing the fault would be most appreciated, especially if the cause might be associated with the recent repairs.
Many thanks in appreciation of your help and advice.
