Headlight self levellers

My headlights now shine no further than a couple of feet in front of the car. The self levellers appear to have given up the ghost. I've seen on youtube that you can fix them in place with a screw between the 2 headlights, but I'd prefer if they worked properly. Any clues of how to fix them please?

It does sound as if the leveling devices have failed.
There are a few repair kits around on ebay and other internet sites. Worth a trawl to see if you can get the replacement parts.
I recall Dave Marks has a fix for these units. Drop him an email and ask for his advice.
Otherwise it is off to a breakers yard or a phone call to Eurojag. There prices are reasonable. and service excellent.

Replacement adjusters are available on e-bay, not an easy job to replace though, or just do the screw fix and they will self level again, its what I did 5 years ago.

Thanks for that Doug God knows where I got zircon from, senior moment I expect. So when that screw fix has been done do the headlights self level as normal.

Hi there
Looks like I've got a NSF fog lamp bulb gone. Is it a simple job and how would I go about replacing the bulb? I can't decide which is better because of the large variety of
led fog lights kits.
The OPT7 bulbs appear to be high quality.
Which fogs will fit normally to my car? Thanks in advance for any help.

You should be able to find the lamp type, ie H2, H7 etc in the drivers handbook.

horatio597 You will have to remove the cover underneath the front bumper to access the rear of the fog lights to change the bulb. It can be a bit tricky if it has not been off before as the fixings can be seized up.
