Headlight self levellers
Moderators:GJS-typeR, Montana5
My headlights now shine no further than a couple of feet in front of the car. The self levellers appear to have given up the ghost. I've seen on youtube that you can fix them in place with a screw between the 2 headlights, but I'd prefer if they worked properly. Any clues of how to fix them please?
Re: Headlight self levellers
It does sound as if the leveling devices have failed.
There are a few repair kits around on ebay and other internet sites. Worth a trawl to see if you can get the replacement parts.
I recall Dave Marks has a fix for these units. Drop him an email and ask for his advice.
Otherwise it is off to a breakers yard or a phone call to Eurojag. There prices are reasonable. and service excellent.

Thanks Mike, I'll give your suggestions a look
Re: Headlight self levellers
Replacement adjusters are available on e-bay, not an easy job to replace though, or just do the screw fix and they will self level again, its what I did 5 years ago.

Thanks Doug. I'd seen that on youtube but didn't know if anyone had tried it
Re: Headlight self levellers
Hi Has anyone got the youtube link and would the fix work on Zircon lights?

Re: Headlight self levellers
Hi there
Looks like I've got a NSF fog lamp bulb gone. Is it a simple job and how would I go about replacing the bulb? I can't decide which is better because of the large variety of led fog lights kits.
The OPT7 bulbs appear to be high quality.
Which fogs will fit normally to my car? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Headlight self levellers
You should be able to find the lamp type, ie H2, H7 etc in the drivers handbook.

Re: Headlight self levellers
horatio597 You will have to remove the cover underneath the front bumper to access the rear of the fog lights to change the bulb. It can be a bit tricky if it has not been off before as the fixings can be seized up.
