Hello Folks
Got the replacement parking aid module(matching numbers) plugged it in, NO change, still no sensors front or back and when selecting reverse the little light comes on and the beeper goes off. Still have B2477 on reader, configuration failure. How do you "re-configure?".

Indications from what I’ve read is that it needs to be programmed so you may have to take it to an Indy with dealer level diagnostics to have it programmed unless you know someone local who has the same type of system.

Thanks Jimeva
I thought that might be the case, reluctant to go down that road at the moment ,spent enough on it recently. Been looking at the wiring diagram and component guide from the site you you suggested and have watched the sequence of events as I select reverse/drive/then move away up to the threshold speed. Everything works as it should except it is immediately in a fault condition as reverse is selected then resets when above the threshold speed. This seems to suggest no power to front and rear sensors. I assume the beeper sound is from the front Beeper Sounder being used for the two functions i.e. fault condition beep and front proximity condition beeps so that is working. The only Common bit of wire to the whole system is the neg Ve in the luggage compartment I think. Pos Ve comes from two different places on the ECU.
I'm leaving it for bit now, will come back when my enthusiasm recovers.

Hi ALL

Still working on parking sensors, I found all earth points on the car, cleaned them and put new ends on them, having nearly striped the car to a shell. Any way, I have found a broken cable that fed the parking sensor module, and fixed that, plugged it all back in and still nothing, should I be getting any voltage on the cable sensing it's in reverse, not even getting anything on the on off button.

just a quick not, how on earth do jaguar get away with wiring a car like this, they just rap everything up so tight, loads of cables far to long and just knotted up in tape, this has got to produce pressure faults.

regards
darren

Hello Folks
May 23rd 2019 B2477 Configuration Failure on iSoft Reader, New MOT but still no Parking Sensors they've completely packed up including the fronts,10 years now, so I should be used to it by now.
Shame though, have to accept the "Geek Talk" on the various forums I've been on over the years to try and find a simple answer as a load of excusable educated (too much)geek speak rubbish and Jaguar using crap componants that are not fit for the job or are not expected to continue working after the warranty period in the "Rental Car" (PCP) world we are now in, all on limited leases with a new car at the end. It's no wonder the bottom drops out of the value of previously used Jaguars it's common knowledge it seems. Only really old classics are worth anything and only to a select few. Old folks with old cars are not expected. I will soldier on though and try and find a solution.
