dropped car off this morning, looks like all was ok in the gearbox department, although it had to have a new filter/sump pan at 85 odd quid, will go back and pay up and look happy tommorrow lol

Good stuff. Why on earth did jaguar incorporate the filter into the sump pan, so that both have to be replaced? Mad.

car is now back home, silky smooth changes, the good thing was that bob and mark found nothing untoward in the sump, pretty clean by all accounts, so that should be that for another couple of years, top lads there, going back next month for a full service and aircon regas
