Lumpy changes

I have a 55 S-type. Last year the gearbox was changed under warranty. However, I find the new box is not as silky smooth as I would hope. When cold, there is usually hesitation in the low gears unless I accelerate hardish.

Also, when warm and crawling up to a round about say, there can be some hesitation and some lumpy changes in the low gears. Hopping between brake and accelerator come sometimes cause it to create an unsmooth shift as well

I`d consult a transmission specialist with a possible view to having the transmission module reflashed. This is quite a well known issue on the six speed units.

Worth also Googling "The Lurch" which is one mans tale of six speed transmission issues.
