In answer to a members questions regarding the above tuning box originally posted on the X308 BB, I think we may be able to help.

The S-type and X350 XJ models share many components including the 2.7 diesel engines. In this respect what goes for one, is the same for the other.

The Pro-Bitz diesel module is one of a range of after market plug and play piggy back ecu modules designed to enhance power, torque and economy of a standard engine.

Details of Mark Rogers experience fitting and using a Pro-Bitz unit may be found on page 41 of the June 2010 edition of our magazine.

Rather than repeat a discussion which took place on this S-type BB recently, you might like to refer to a post in this engine section entittled Remapping. The points raised therein discribe remapping via tuning modules and direct ecu software reflashes. The piggy back unit under debate is one produced by Torquing of Cats and is similar in operation to the Pro-Bitz unit.

I trust this post is helpful.
