Key fob issues

I have a 52 plate S type. When I bought the car late 2021 only one of the two keys was programmed. One fob worked perfectly and the other would allow the car to be driven but would not lock and unlock the car. Recently, the car battery had to be removed and since re-installation, the previously fully working fob now only allows the car to be driven. I have to lock and unlock the car by inserting the key in the door lock but of course, unlocking via this method sets the alarm off. Can anyone advise me on the solution please ?

Hi Martin,

Many fobs can be reprogrammed to operate the central locking by following a set pattern, eg flashing the headlights 5 times etc, not sure about the S type though, hopefully someone on here will know, or you could try an internet search for it, there is a lot of info on Jaguarforum.com.
