1971 E-type V12

Postby vinniexkr » Sun Apr 05, 2020 7:59 am

Hi

I have recently joined the ranks of lucky owners of an e-type Jaguar, I bought the car back in February and have managed
to go out in her a few times, she is in British Racing Green with wire wheels and in great condition, i was wondering if the car is known in
the JEC at all, reg: JXF55J
The car is an absolute joy to drive and I hope to be able to show at some point this year when things hopefully get back to some sort of
normality, I am in East Sussex and look forward to meeting like minded Jag owners soon.
Regards
Vince

hi

I have got a oil leak on the IRS on my V12 E type, E type uk are not far from me and they are experts on the car so I took it to them.
I said about looking at the oil leak and also if it was coming out it would be a good idea to change the ratio.
I would like them to do the job but they have quoted my £4800-£5500 ! this has allowed £3000 for the labour ! it seems rather a lot to me,
does anyone have any ideas as to how long the job should take for an expert to do, thanks.
