I need to replace my Avon tyres (185 R15) on my Series 1 Coupe and before buying I'd appreciate anyones views on what tyres they would recommend.

I replaced mine last year through Vintage Tyres in Beaulieu and bought .....Avons!

Try their website, you can search by vehicle type or tyre....great service.

I was put in touch with Vintage tyres via Micheldever Tyres. As you say, they are very helpful and I ended up with a set of 4 Dunlop SP's since the spare is also a Dunlop.

I just put the Pirellis cinturatos…...I must say they look the part and drove wonderful on my 66 series 1 .

Hi there guys,

has anyone tried the Pirelli P5s on the E Type?

I have found new ones on Ebay for just over £200 each which seems like a great price.
In addition they are more similar aesthetically to the Michelin XWXs than the Pirelli Cinturatos which I believe more suited to a saloon car body type.
