Clutch master cylinder

My rare manual X300 4 litre sport is exhibiting intermittent clutch failure. Dave Marks has suggested that the clutch master or slave cylinder seal is not working, and it would be advisable to change both cylinders. However, while slave cylinders are readily available, I cannot locate a master cylinder anywhere. I have tried all the usual suppliers (Simply Performance, SNG Barrett, Berkshire Jaguars, David Manners etc) but nobody has one in stock, nor can they give a date as to when they might have them. If anybody knows of the whereabouts of one of the original units or, better still, an AP replacement unit (part no CBC7284#), I would appreciate hearing. Or any solution to the problem. Until then, my otherwise lovely car is confined to the garage.

Hi Bailey, as a quick check, I plugged your part number into the search engine and it came up with quite a number of "hits", the one below looks about correct.

Thanks for trying but, if you look carefully at your 'hit', it says "out of stock". In fact, this is Simply Performance, who have already informed me that they cannot state with any certainty when the item is likely to be back in stock
