I have been looking at stainless steel exhausts for my 3.2 X300 and one of the options was removing the second catalyltic converter and replacing it with a straight through pipe. I read somewhere that the second catalytic converter was for the Calafornian market. But is there a sensor in it that would mean removing it will cause problems?

I think you might get issues at MOT time.
