Jaguar E type series 1 wiring loom

Can anyone advise who supplies the best complete wiring loom kit?. Do any of them come with wires labelled or do you have to follow a diagram?. Who supplies the simplest diagram?. I would be grateful for any advise or to hear of any experiences.

Have a word with Autosparks at Nottingham. The company is well-known for supplying replacement harnesses. I have used successfully its replacement engine harness on my V12 coupe but sadly, I can't recall whether the connectors were marked. There are plenty of wiring diagrams available for E-Types in the Haynes manuals and online if you search. Mike.

Thanks Mike, looks like Autosparks is the way to go. I've heard Autosparks looms are available from various parts distributors, cheaper than buying direct. Has anyone experienced this, does anyone Know which distributors supply these.
On a different note, who is the best manufacturer/distributor of wire wheels?. Stainless seems like a good option, any experiences?. If i opt for larger wheels, would they scuff the inner body work.

When it comes to wire wheels, MWS and Dayton are the usual brands to be found. Not liking cleaning, I opted for 6" stainless Daytons from SNG Barratt whilst they had a special deal running & fitted 205/70x15" tyres. At this width, most owners remove the rear bump stops. However, I successfully shaved them down to provide sufficient clearance whilst retaining the bump stop feature. Mike.

Hello Justin,

another manufacturer is Turrino wheels, based in Cheshire. I have no experience of them apart from seeing them at shows etc. The do steel or aluminium rimmed wheels. I don't know but would guess that they are a little more expensive than the usual suppliers?
