Has anyone had dealings or advice with a coating or painting the series 1 and 2 E Type exhaust manifolds. I believe there are ceramic coatings available for appearance and heat deflection. Thank you.

Sorted yet?
If not, have a look on the E-Type forum (forum.etypeuk.com). Lots of info there.
Basically if you want ceramic coated manifolds you can buy them from SNGB or other Jaguar specialists. However, the coating is not likely to last long, by my experience, especially if you take you car out in the wet. Braking firmly with a wet bonnet shoots water through the vents onto the manifolds and the thermal shock starts to craze the coating.
If you want to re-coat your own manifold, take 'em off, get them blast cleaned after finding some of the special heat resistant paint. This can make and acceptable reasonably long lasting finish.

In Practical Classics they have recommended Zircotec as a good company with real benefits of keeping things cooler under the bonnet etc (https://www.zircotec.com/). May be worth a try if you are serious about getting some benifits. Probably not cheap though!
