Polyurethane Suspension Bushes
Has anyone fitted PU suspension bushes to their E Type for general road use? If so is the ride harsh or comfortable? Does the car handle better? Be most grateful for your experience on this.

Re: Polyurethane Suspension Bushes
I fitted the polyurethane buses bought from SNG Barratt's about 10 years ago when the suspension on Sophee ( E V12) was sagging and therefore needed sorting with new shockers etc.
The ride is definitely not worse and probably slightly improved - though its hard to really say when all the bushes were sh*gged; I take the view its the sort of job you only want to do once in the lifetime of ownership and at the time both CMC who did the fitment and Barratt's recommended the upgrade to PU bushes.
Hope that might help

Re: Polyurethane Suspension Bushes
Thank you for the reply Ray.
If I do go ahead with the poly bushes, this will be the 3rd lot of bushes. I think when I restored the car back in the 90's I put the best ones in the dustbin.
All the best,
Paul.

Re: Polyurethane Suspension Bushes
I have three jaguar/daimlers and my wife insists that I have enough parts to build another one. Unless an item is well and truly goosed, it finds a hole in the garage! There are many parts that I know are there but refuse to come into the open. I think it's a man thing.
