During a recent cylinder head overhaul I took the opportunity to fit a high torque starter motor (WOSP).
Only problem was that the main feed cable was too short to reach the smaller motor. I made up a short connector
and alls well and the thing works ok.
Obviously long term I need to make a longer feed. However on looking at the car it seems simple to route the new cable on the bulkhead and to the starter motor from the rear of the engine. Clearly the cable will be much shorter but why was it not done like this in the first place?
Has anyone out there done something similar and are there any thoughts on problems going along with this idea?
Cheers
