Rear lights

Does anybody know how I can brighten the rear tail lights on my series II etype . The stop lights are fine but tail lights aren't very bright and as I have to drive home in the dark at this time of year it makes me nervous !,I have Polk on the web for
LE D S with no success ,what can be done

Hello Williamsbikes,

take the lenses off and clean them internally and also any internal reflector. I would also have a good look at the wiring connectors, it doesn't take much corrosion to adversely affect the light output, clean or replace as necessary. If you have a meter do a measure of voltage at the lampholder, with the lamp in and lit. If you just measure at the lampholder with the lamp out you could have an erroneous reading.
