window glass to hood fitting

E Type Ser 1 1967 convertible.
I am having problems in getting the window glass to fit in the hood rubber seals when closed. I cannot seem to find a happy compromise; I'm able to get the glass to fit nicely in one place only to find it doesn't fit properly in another. Does the glass rise into the rubber seal or onto its edges?
I would be grateful if anyone could send me photos of how and where the door window glass fits to the hood cantrail rubber. Or any procedure as to adjusting the hood to the window glass.
The hood frame is original the windscreen is original and never been off.
