Front Exhaust Heatshield on Series 2

Parts catalogue shows two exhaust heatshields, one front and one rear.
The front part number is C25101.
Can anyone please explain where it goes and how / what it is fitted to.

Did you get a reply to this? I too would like to know the answer. I have the heat shield but no idea where it goes.

I have seen heat shields fitted to the engine side frame but the E-Type parts manual states that the heat shield screws to the floor and the gearbox tunnel.
