I've completely re-done the braking system on a v12 E type. I replaced the PDWA switch as the original is completely gummed up! Unfortunately the new unit leaks out of the top of the plastic switch. I have replaced the 1st switch with another from the same supplier, but have the same problem.
My understanding is that there shouldnt be any fluid in the chamber where the switch plunger sits, as there are 'O' ring seals on the piston or 'shuttlecock' as some call it.
Has anyone else had problems with new units? Can these units be stripped down and are there suppliers of rebuild (seal) kits?
I have 'bled' the system in the normal manner without problems.
Any further clues would be gratefully received.
