Series 3 E-type, bleeding empty braking system

Postby chrischapman77 » Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:09 am

I would like advice on how to get fluid to the rear brakes on an empty system. The workshop manual says bleed the rear brakes first, but with the system empty there isnt any any fluid in the front. As I understand it, fluid is needed in the front brakes so that pressure builds to a point where the valve opens in the servo to allow pressure to the rear.
Using an easy bleed I have filled and bled the front but still do not get fluid to the rear.
All the system has been refurbished or replaced, so both the master cylinder and servo slave are replaced. All the calipers are rebuilt by David Manners. All the pipes are new except the one running front to back, I don't get any fluid at the start of this pipe which points to a servo slave cylinder problem.
Anyone got any ideas as to how to prove it?
Thanks
Chris
