how are these supposed to come off, Ive removed teh large central bolt and the body link arm bracket with its two small bolts and the thing just wont come off - any techniques?

It should come off now. You need to jack the upright up to about normal height to take the load off. If it will not come off with a lever each side and the rubber bush is already shot the next step is to apply heat to the inner steel part of the bush, easier after breaking the bush away. The bush fits onto a taper that is rivetted and bolted to the body. It is worth putting anti-seize paste on this taper when refiiting! Be very careful of the thread when you put the large bolt back up into the body as it is safety critical.
