Throttle Linkage

Postby keith140c » Tue Feb 09, 2010 4:13 pm

I am trying to assemble the throttle linkage for my 4.2 litre S1 FHC.
The linkage had been modified for 1 3/4" SU, so now I've fitted the correct 2" type something is not correct as the accelerator pedal does not move the throtle butterfly fully open.
What I would like is a picture/diagram of the linkage while the pedal is at rest, so I know the relative start positions of the "L" shaped pivot levers.

Thank you

The position of the first bellcrank is set by the stop. The others move through right angles to the rods at around mid-travel. I think you need to see someone's car to measure if the carb levers are right length.
