Hi, I have tappet like noise coming from my engine, which I am having difficulty in tracing( using the screwdriver listening technique).
It is more noticable from the drivers seat, and sometimes appears to be coming from the rear exhaust!
I have read that the auto box can have cracking of the drive plate around the torque converter bolts, resulting in a tappet like sound.
Also the left hand cylinder head core plug at the rear is leaking.
Anybody any experience of doing it in situ?
Suggestions welcome.
