Could anybody please advise the max. Torque I can apply to the cam cover nuts. Usual leak problems!
Many thanks

Hello Bond007,
10 ft lbs, from memory, certainly not very tight. Replace the copper washers if you haven't already and look for cracks in the cover in case they have been overtightened in the past? I normally use a smear of Hylomar to one face, as much to keep the gasket in position rather than as a sealer.

Thanks very much Alex,
Unfortunately, broke a stud, probably weakened at some stage. Anyway decided to purchase a composite, (rubber/aluminium/rubber gasket) from David Manners. No sealant and it worked brilliantly! The only way to go I think.
Thanks again,
Paul
