Front crank oil seal

S1 e-type 3.8. Can the front crank oil seal be replaced by removing the sump without removing the engine.

I believe it can be albeit not quite straight forward.
The seal is held within the front timing chain cover (or at least the top half) and ideally you would remove the cover and then fit the seal into the cover prior to fitting onto the crank.
However, I'm sure if you take the sump down and push/pull off the crank the seal bearing, the seal can be pulled down out of the cover housing and slid forward off the crank. Replacement is reverse.
