The question is .......
Should I take the opportunity, whilst the engine is out, to replace the rope oil seal with a lip seal upgrade or take the chance that the current one on my totally rebuilt engine won't leak.
If the consensus is to replace then how far do I have to strip the engine to get the crank out?
Cheers

Re: Rear Crank Oil Seal
Hello Stuart,
have you run your rebuilt engine, and if so, did it leak?
I don't think I would bother fitting a lip seal, unless there is a bad leak.
What's involved in fitting the kit, does it entail drilling the block for the housing?
