Storage Options.

Postby chris76528 » Fri Oct 31, 2008 9:53 am

I am considering knocking through the back wall of my garage and fitting a rear garage door to increase drive space. I would then have two options:

Keep my Series 3 in the garage and move it out each time I needed to use my X-Type. This would often involve starting the older car and not driving it any distance. However, I only tend to use my cars at weekends anyway, so it wouldn't be a daily occurrence.

Or, I could leave the E-Type outside, behind the garage, but under one of those waterproof, breathable covers that are advertised in the classic car mags.

So my question is really which is the lesser of the two evils. I am leaning towards keeping the E-Type in the garage and moving it a couple of times a week. At least that way the engine gets some use and it's better for the battery.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Chris.
