Hi, I am in the early stages of acquiring an E Type bodyshell from the US. It has no engine or wheels and will be put in a crate for shipping. Has anyone had experience of doing something similar?
I need to understand what paperwork I will have to complete, any taxes to pay, how I prove I am the title holder etc...
The bodyshell comes with no logbook or registration, but does have the identification plate on the bulkhead.
thanks, Adrian.

Re: Importing E Type bodyshell from US to UK
Hi Adrian
I have just imported an E Type from California and used Schumacher Logistics and they were fantactic in helping with all the paperwork etc.
Contact Kevin there and tell him i gave you his details and he will help you all the way.

You will need to pay shipping fees and provide proof of purchase along with your ID, as my car was a historic vehicle i only had to pay 5% import tax in the UK place unloading fees for the docs.
Thanks
