Hello All,
My wife and i are new to the forum but are proud owners of a 1974 V12 e type. it has a nasty modern replacement radio and we are interested in replacing this with a replica traditional looking model - ideally with the flip down and ipod connectivity behind the front facia.. can anyone recommend a good model and supplier? many thanks

Hi Jon,
I can't recommend anyone I'm afraid but I've been considering a similar conversion myself, albeit that I still have the old crackly unit to convert, not a new one to replace.
However, I don't know if you've already Googled "classic car radio conversion", but I've been looking at these guys:
http://www.tadpoleradios.co.uk/
though haven't gone as far as contacting them yet....... They do have units for sale which may be of interest.
Best of luck, Simon.

Hi Jon,
I have a 71 V12; apart from the link mentioned in the other post, you may consider contacting "The Vintage Wireless Company" based in Sale Cheshire. Their number was 0161 973 0438 - www.vintagewireless.co.uk - they converted my original Motorola to FM plus added an Ipod connection whilst retaining the image - they sell units they have refurbished hence my recommendation. There are also usually a couple of stalls selling period refurbished radios at the National Jaguar Spares Day coming up at Stoneliegh showground in October.
